This is the first 5* resort to be developed on Barbados for 20 years. It will also be the biggest and is being built to the highest specification to compete with the 5 star hotels currently on the island. This exclusive development is ideally situated with its own secluded beach and cliff top location on the South East coast of this superb Island.

Studios, apartments, detached and semi detached villas to luxury penthouses and exclusive 5 bedroom cliff-top villas all available at off plan prices.

This development is on the south east coast of the island, a hotel called the Crane (a 4* hotel, 4km down the coast from our site) has been used a comparable. The Crane (known as 1887, the year it opened), is the oldest hotel on the island on a stretch of beach which has been voted in the top 10 beaches in the world by 'lifestyles of the rich and famous' magazine. As this is the first hotel on the island, they must have chosen this location for a reason!

  • Barbados is 21 miles long by 14 miles wide. It takes around one and a half hours to drive the ABC highway, which runs the length of the island.

  • Flight time from London to Barbados is 8 hours. There are many direct flights with Virgin, BA, American Airlines and BMI to name a few.

  • The climate is tropical with temperatures ranging between 21-31 degrees. The lowest temperature recorded is 17 degrees which was at night!

  • Peak season is between October to March, it is not as busy between April and June, however it is an all year round destination.

  • There is a saying, 'God is a Baijan' as there has not been a hurricane in Barbados since 1952. Barbados sits outside the Caribbean Sea; therefore the water temperature helps it avoid hurricanes.

  • Barbados has 62 miles of coastline compared to 600 in Bulgaria.

  • Population 280,000, most Baijans reside in Bridgetown.

  • Tourism on the island started in the 1960's and the island has since become extremely established with tourism becoming arguably the most popular island in the Caribbean.

  • There is a shortage of hotels in the island, enough so that during the 2007 Cricket World Cup, 3 cruise ships were drafted in to cope with the problem.

  • The government has stated that by 2010 accommodation for tourists is targeted to rise from approx 7,250 rooms to 9,500 rooms.

  • Barbados is well known for its rich and famous visitors. Most celebrities stay at the famous Sandy Lane Hotel which is the place to be seen.

  • Concorde used to fly to Barbados once a day in the winter and twice a week in the summer. London to Barbados was its only profitable path along with New York, which denotes the demographics of visitors here. Even now BA only has 13 aisles of economy seats on a flight to Barbados.

  • Surprisingly there are only three 5* hotels on the Island. All three are all on the West Coast. It is very difficult to achieve 5* classification on the island. The 3 hotels are: Sandy Lane, Royal Westmoreland and the Fairmont.

  • The West Coast is the most expensive place to stay and property prices are also more expensive then the rest of the island. A basic studio apartment on the west coast will start at around £750-£850,000. Historically all Caribbean island properties are dearer on the west coast as the waters are calmer and more sedate. The Royal Westmoreland sells residential homes, which start at £1.3m. Gary Linekar and Ian Wosenam own a property there. Sugar Hill is also a residential development on the west coast. Cliff Richard owns a property there worth £6m. Both developments are staged far back from the beach, there is a road between them and will only afford owners sea glimpses.

  • The north end of the island is very rocky, therefore the land cannot be developed, the waters are also very rough. It is the same for the east coast, as this is the Atlantic side and waters are too rough. Most of the east coast is protected and cannot be developed. The Atlantic side is popular for surfers. Eddie Grant owns a property on the east coast valued at $15m.

  • The south coast of Barbados has many family hotels. The 4*Turtle beach hotel is popular for families. As a guideline a room will cost £512 a night in August.

  • With all these developments and protected land around the island, it only leaves a few miles of coastline which is available for development. This is a significant fact.

  • Property prices on Barbados have never dropped!
